Heroes and Underdogs

I’ve been putting my thoughts together for a post about my writing journey.  It’s a guest post for Hugs and Chocolate which I hope you’ll be excited to read, or at the very least willing to check out.  Anyway, this past week I discovered an up and coming band called Heroes and Underdogs.  What a fitting title for many things in my life.

Heroes and Underdogs are a female fronted band from Poughkeepsie, New York.  Since I love their sound so much, I’m willing to overlook the fact that they’re Mets fans.  Go Yankees!  The amazing Kayla Loren is the voice of this charming and emotional five piece.  If you like honest and searing lyrics where you can feel the intensity of each word, you’ll love this band.  I was trying to think of a comparable band, but I couldn’t.  They are that damn good.  I’m expecting big, big things from Heroes and Underdogs.  Trust me, they’re just getting started.

Right now you can get your hands on their That’s My Name, Don’t Wear It Out! EP. Featuring five tracks, this EP is well worth your time and hard-earned cash. The highlight would have to be every single track. Seriously, I love them all. I’m going to put up a link to their PureVolume page. You can download the first song off of their EP for free, just click on the free MP3 button and save it to your PC. While you’re there, get the acoustic version too, it’s WOW! Here’s the link:

Here’s the video for Dear Sarah, I Wish Sorry Could Cover It.

If I could include a song or two with THE KEY TO EDEN, I’d definitely include Eat A Knife.  If you love good music, you won’t be disappointed with Heroes and Underdogs.  Please, support this wonderful band.
